Morus Inc. (CEO: Ryo Sato; Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; “Morus”), whose vision is “Crafting through Tradition, Thriving with Nutrition.,” has moved into the Okinawa Health Biotechnology Research and Development Center in Uruma City, Okinawa Prefecture, and opened its first research base equipped with its own in-house laboratory. At the new base, Morus will research the functional properties of MorSilk®, its silkworm-derived ingredient, and build a framework for mass production in Japan.
Bringing the value of MorSilk® to society requires two things: confirming the scientific evidence step by step through research, and building a production system that can supply it consistently while maintaining quality.
The purpose of moving into the Okinawa Health Biotechnology Research and Development Center, a facility that supports the research and development of bioscience companies, is to advance both research and production in one place.
